March 2017 Trip to the AG Store

Greetings! You may have noticed the March 2017 in the title, despite the fact that it is now late April. You may also have noticed that I referenced a recent trip to the store in my tankini review, yet did not elaborate. The truth of the matter is, I did visit the American Girl store in March and took pictures, yet did not get around to posting them until now (yikes). I am finally posting them today because there has not been a new AG release yet and the pictures are still up to date. So, without further ado, here is the American Girl store, brought to you by Caroline and Isabelle!

Hello, readers! I, Caroline, will be writing in blue – and I, Isabelle, will be writing in pink.

Izzy and I were chosen to go to the store because everyone else except Lea had already been, and it was our turn. I couldn’t wait to see Gabriela, because she’s a dancer like me! I wanted to see Tenney, because Rebecca said I look like her.

First was Tenney Grant. Here she is in her picnic outfit, hat, and necklace. Mom was going to get her outfit, but wasn’t completely sold on it. I liked her dog.

I was getting hungry, so I tried out her picnic set. The fork was real metal, but the set was pretty small, and the food did’t look too appetizing. There were signs in all the displays with Logan and at every register saying he was out of stock and purchases of him were limited to three per customer. Online right now he’s backordered until May 19!

Next we saw Gabriela! I tried out her dance barre. Mom said Gabriela might join the family but she would probably get her name changed. I like her, but she is exactly like Truly Me 46! I looked at her clothes, and they were all in the new packaging. Tenny’s collection was too. The boxes were okay, but I don’t like the fact that they leave holes in the clothing.

Next we moved on to Wellie Wishers and the book section.  Mom didn’t take any pictures of BeForever, but we saw Julie’s bathroom behind glass. It was a bit crazy with the colors, but pretty cool. I liked Maryellen’s sofa bed and diner, too.

This is the only picture Mom took of the Wellie Wishers. It was set up in the book section. Mom was looking at Camille to see if she wanted to buy her. I though all of the Wellie Wishers were pretty cute. Their stuff was in the new packaging too.

These were some cool displays behind glass in the book section. They were crafts from the kits made and set up in a tiny scene. They were upstairs in the Truly Me section too.

The first display was camping themed. Mom tried to help the dolls around the campfire sit up, but the chair made them slide down. The camper had so much food!

This was the Terrier Puppy in the dog camping outfit. She looked a bit tired.

The Bright and Splashy Tankini! It looks good on both dolls.

Here’s the Apricot Poodle Puppy in the Fur-rocious Pet Outfit. I thought the shirt was funny, and I liked the frisbee.

This set is so cute! I want to be in this display! They look a bit lonely to me…

The TV! If Chrissa were here, she would try to get in the display. I liked the couch, too, but it was out of stock.

Rebecca came with us too because she had to go to the doll hospital to get her leg tightened. She isn’t in any pictures but she found her Truly Me twin on both floors!

So those are all our pictures! I – eek! Is that the time? I have to go to ballet! And I have sailing! Can you tie it up, Mom? Sure. Thank you! Farewell, readers!

Yep, that was my trip to the store. It was hard taking pictures because I was using my phone, so it would catch all of the reflections of the glass. Thus, I don’t have too many. It was a productive trip however. We brought home the Pomeranian Pajamas for Chrissa, the Dream Pajamas for Lea, Maryellen’s Play Outfit, and the Tropical-Print Dress. And the tankini, but you already know about that. For books I got Kaya’s first book, Kit’s Journey book, and the Doll Dining kit. I will probably review most if not all of the clothes and the kit soon. I also have pictures of Rebecca when she returned from the doll hospital and (late!) Easter pictures coming soon. Whew!                                                                                         Signing off, Lola Bunny, Caroline, and Isabelle.
